After settling in, take some time to relax and acclimatize to the vibrant atmosphere of Nepal’s capital city. If time permits, explore the bustling streets of Thamel, the city’s tourist hub, where you can enjoy local cafes and shops. In the evening, you will receive a briefing about the tour and have a chance to enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine.
After a hearty breakfast, set out on a full-day sightseeing adventure across Kathmandu Valley. Visit the iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites, starting with Swayambhunath (the Monkey Temple), perched atop a hill with panoramic views of the city. Next, explore Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in Nepal. Continue to the massive Boudhanath Stupa, a spiritual center for Buddhists. Finally, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square to marvel at ancient palaces and temples. Return to the hotel in the evening to rest or explore the lively night scene of Kathmandu.
After breakfast, choose between a scenic 6-7 hour drive along the Prithvi Highway or a quick 30-minute flight to Pokhara.
