Take some time to settle in and relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to take a gentle stroll around the vibrant streets of Thamel, the tourist hub of Kathmandu, to get a first taste of Nepal’s unique culture and bustling atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a briefing session with your guide about the tour and what to expect in the coming days.
Today, you will explore on a full-day guided tour exploring Kathmandu’s rich cultural heritage. Begin with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Then, explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, filled with ancient temples, palaces, and courtyards that tell stories of the Malla and Shah dynasties. After lunch, visit Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu site on the banks of the Bagmati River, followed by a visit to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world.
