The Mohare Danda Trek is a beautiful and culturally rich short trek located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It’s an ideal choice for trekkers looking for a quieter, off-the-beaten-path experience, far from the crowded trails of the Annapurna Base Camp or Ghorepani. The trek leads you through charming Magar villages, rhododendron forests, and serene eco-community lodges, culminating in stunning panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre ranges from Mohare Danda (3300m). Hidden Path Treks & Expeditions specializes in responsible and sustainable trekking, making this journey not only scenic but also socially meaningful.
The Mohare Danda Trek is considered moderate in difficulty. While it doesn’t require technical climbing skills, a reasonable level of fitness is recommended as you’ll be hiking 5–7 hours a day through varying terrain. The trek gradually ascends to a maximum altitude of 3300 meters, which minimizes the risk of altitude sickness and makes it accessible even to beginner trekkers with preparation. Hidden Path Treks & Expeditions ensures a steady pace, frequent rest stops, and professional guidance to support all fitness levels.
Accommodation on the Mohare Danda Trek is primarily in community-based eco-lodges and homestays. These are clean, comfortable, and offer a more authentic cultural experience compared to commercial tea houses. Rooms are generally twin-shared with basic amenities like shared bathrooms and warm blankets. Hidden Path Treks & Expeditions partners with locally run lodges to ensure both comfort and community support. Expect warm hospitality and delicious, locally prepared meals throughout the journey.
The ideal seasons for the Mohare Danda Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is generally stable, the skies are clear for mountain views, and the trails are rich with natural beauty—especially rhododendron blooms in spring. However, winter treks are also possible for those who prefer solitude and can tolerate cold temperatures. Hidden Path Treks & Expeditions operates year-round and tailors each trip based on seasonal conditions.
